What is your advice about? Class Management

Don’t judge a pupil by their reputation – give them a chance to build a relationship with you.

Be consistent – if the rules say a break detention for doing X then it applies equally to ‘nice’ and ‘naughty’ students.

If you need to raise your voice to quickly address an issue that’s okay, but don’t forget to return to normal volume.

You may have a long list of school expectations/rules to follow, but it all boils down to good manners. Promote good manners and you’ll spend less time quoting rules.

Own up to your mistakes – you’re human. If there is an error on the board, make light of it or ask pupils to spot it.
