Starter for Five is a UK based advice blog for new teachers. Each post gives 5 quick pieces of advice on a particular topic for new teachers and trainees submitted by experienced teachers. Use search, tags and categories to look up the topics you want to know about.
Or, if you have a topic you’d like to contribute advice about, you can go here. Please be aware that it may take a few days for your contribution to appear on the blog.

Could you let me know why my starter for five suggestions for support and CPD for starting science teachers has not been shared please ? I submitted it last night (Tues 10th Nov 2015)
Everything is shared manually. It can take a few days depending on how many posts are in the queue.
Thank you for your post. It should be appearing shortly.

Please accept my apologies for being over zealous! I’m afraid I was rather over hasty in assuming that my submission had been rejected, I do appreciate it was a little bit different from some of the others!
We do try to avoid rejecting any posts. Obviously if something is not advice for new teachers on a specific topic, that creates difficulties, but we do make an effort to avoid rejecting for any other reason, so people know they are getting all the advice submitted on a topic and not just the advice that Sarah, or I, happen to select.
